Can you read two books in five days?

Reading equals clarity.

There’s no disputing this fact.

I’ve always been an avid reader, but over the several many months my reading habit fell by the wayside.

Something having to do with my wife being pregnant etc. etc.

These past few days, since I’ve been out of the 𝕏 vortex, I’ve been on a kick with some good books.

The first one I blew through was The Pathless Path by Paul Millerd.

Paul is giving away the ebook for free, and you can download it here.

This book had been on my “to-read” list for many months after I heard Ali Abdaal talk about it.

The Pathless Path is a near-perfect read for anyone who’s pursuing an unconventional career path…

And because I’m in the middle of building my online business and finding my way, it resonated with me.

Paul’s story is unique – he went from being a corporate worker on the default path to becoming a freelancer and trying lots of different stuff.

His story is inspiring and has encouraged me to continue moving forward, failing, and learning.

The second book I’m reading and will probably finish today or tomorrow is Gary Halbert's classic, The Boron Letters.

All I can say is, I’m mad at myself for not diving into this one earlier!

The life, sales, and marketing advice in here is bar-none. I haven’t read anything like this and I can see myself coming back to this book again and again.

For anyone on a journey as a copywriter and/or content writer – and anyone looking to market their products or services online (or through direct mail) – this is a must-read.

It’s short and packs a powerful punch.

My question to you is... what's your reading pace like? And at that pace, are you able to retain what you've read?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Ur homie,
Neil

P.S. I'm taking some time away from social media while I catch up on some life-related stuff, but when I return, I'll be posting and engaging solely on LinkedIn. If we haven't already connected over there, head over to my profile and send me a connection request! I'll be dropping some stories on LinkedIn and I'm also going to post some valuable on e-mail marketing and writing... so please, come out and support!

P.P.S. I know I said I'd be e-mailing less frequently, and I will be... starting February 1st. Until January 31st, I'll be hammering away on this Magic Keyboard.

When you choose to build a personal brand or online business, you're inviting self-doubt into your life. As though you didn't have enough self-doubt BEFORE you became an entrepreneur... Now, you've got more than enough to share. Some days, it feels like you're on top of the world... Any challenge or obstacle that comes your way... you're ready to handle it. But other times, there's this voice inside your head that says: "You can't do this, why are you even trying?" Too often, I find myself...

For the past couple weeks, I've been diving head-first into cold outreach. It's something I shied away for a long time... Because I thought I didn't need to do it. I thought I could "reposition" myself on Twitter and warm inbound leads would come flooding in. Despite my efforts, that never happened. With my recent cold outreach efforts, I've had some good response so far (and I expect to get much more). Here are a few lessons I'm learning: 1/ Cold outreach works Anyone who says cold outreach...

In this day and age, it's easier than ever to fall into the comparison trap... You know... that vicious cycle of comparing your low moments against other peoples' big wins. On their socials, most people are posting the best moments of their day... And if we see that kind of content when we're at a particularly low point — say, struggling with self-confidence or self-assuredness — it can be a downward spiral into despair. I'm pretty sure all of us are guilty of comparing ourselves to other...
